The Institute for hoaxes?
Dnevnik, by n.n.
Page 40 Saturday, March 17, 2001 "The world computer champion" keeps his silence, while some who were or were not involved - do not. Among the later is Miso Alkalaj from our most eminent institute, for whom the American hoaxer Skaggs himself first said that he was involved, next that he wasn't, and a third time that Alkalaj had chosen his own medium. His own because he has ownership ties to journalists of a youth weekly and a certain show of the national TV, so he got them the "exclusive," first hand information. Now he has also displayed his side of the truth or hoax on the Internet, on Skaggs' web site. Under the title Scandal in Slovenia he tries to force on the Americans a saying that is unintelligible to them. He had used a completely Slovene saying (and translated it into English) that one should not look a gift horse into the mouth. Perhaps one should not look after the gift money either? If this will continue, our taxpayers will begin to ask whether the Jozef Stefan Institute is not primarily an international academy of jokers. Copyright Dnevnik, 1998, 1999, 2000 (C)
